Attenzione, PREGO !

Parte del testo e delle immagini contenute qui sotto sono superati. Nel senso che le Righicam sono un ricordo. Dovrei cambiare il testo, cancellare interi paragrafi, ma ne ho francamente per l’acciuga. Dunque rimane così, come un Regio Decreto che è ancora in vigore nonostante i nostri regnanti ce li siamo tolti dalle balle un secolo fa.

Cos’è “stefanome”

Il sito www.stefanome.it è un sito amatoriale, gestito privatamente, senza scopo di lucro, senza sponsor, senza pretese, non commerciale, fatto in casa. Le Righicams sono collocate sulle alture di Genova, quartiere di Castelletto – Righi. Sono a circa 279 metri di altezza sul mare, quella di ponente è operativa dal gennaio 2005, quella di levante dal marzo 2006, la Righicam 3 – centro dal 31 marzo 2007. Dalle Righicam la vista arriva, sul mare, fino a 63 km di distanza. Le Alpi che si vedono nelle giornate migliori invece sono a circa 110 km di distanza. I siti stme. it e bascam.it sono della stessa famiglia e le webcam di Basaluzzo, Rapallo, Genova Brignole e New York rientrano nella fattispecie e nelle vaniloquenze di questa disclaimer.

About “stefanome”

The website www.stefanome.it is an amateurish website, privately owned and run, with no sponsors, with no ambitions, non commercial, home made. Righicams are located in Genoa, Italy at approx 279 meters ( 921 ft.) above sea level.
The Western webcam has been operating since january 2005, the eastern cam since march 2006, the third one since march 31st 2007. The view from the Righicam stretches upon the sea up to 63 km (35 nautic miles). The Alps that you can see in clear days are approx. 110 km far away. (61 nautic miles). Both stme.it and bascam.it are siblings and their webcams located in Basaluzzo, Rapallo Genova and New York apply to the same vague principles and disclaimer here below explored.

Di che marca sono.

Le 3 righicam sono costruite dalla tedesca Mobotix (www.mobotix.com) e sono due modelli M12-WEB ed un modello M22-SEC.

What’s the make.

The three webcams are made by german Mobotix, 2 models are M12 and one M22.

La bandierina…

… punta nella direzione opposta rispetto a dove viene il vento. I venti dominanti a Genova sono la Tramontana e lo Scirocco, segue il Libeccio, rari gli altri. Bisogna considerare che la bandierina NON è nella posizione ottimale. Anzi è in una posizione che risente di oscillazioni dovute a raffiche che possono far ruotare temporaneamente la stessa anche di 180 gradi; se la foto viene scattata in quel momento la lettura del vento potrebbe essere totalmente sbagliata.

When the red flag…

… points right (as shown in the snapshot here below) it is because the wind is from N-NE, while if the flag is on the left it means wind is blowing from SOUTH. Please be aware that this windmarker is installed in an unproper position, wind blowing with strong gusts can turn around the flag momentarlily even by 180 degrees, if snapshot is taken in that very moment, it can show wrong information.

Questo sito è totalmente amatoriale. Dunque anche le conoscenze tecniche disponibili sono state, soprattutto all’inizio, di natura strettamente dilettantesca. Il primo ad essere stato tartassato è stato Alessio, uno dei responsabili tecnici di Meteonetwork; mi ha telefonicamente condotto passo a passo in alcuni aspetti fondamentali della configurazione risolvendo così nottetempo le mie lacune iniziali ed ostative sul funzionamento di una webcam e di un router. A ruota sono seguiti i tedeschi della Mobotix, la cui disponibilità non è mai venuta meno. Loro mi hanno iniziato ai segreti del settaggio immagine, senza di loro le foto sarebbero ancora tutte nere. Quelli di ARUBA invece mi hanno più volte fornito indicazioni in merito alle questioni FTP e dei moduli dati, non ultima una fondamentale istruzione sui DNS. Andrea di Meteo-System m’è stato vicino su alcuni aspetti funzionali delle webcam. Poi c’è stato Luca di E-groupNet che ha ovviato alle mie abissali manchevolezze nella compilazione delle pagine HTML e negli script che ancora adesso non so bene cosa sono ed infine Laura, sempre di E-groupNet che ha risistemato la mia scolastica preparazione nelle reti locali. Ultimo in ordine temporale, Christian Marcante è stato di fondamentale supporto nel periodo tribolato del Gennaio 2011 quando la Telecom Italia ha avuto qualche incertezza nel fornire un servizio decente. Quei numerosi visitatori che frequentano il sito per vedere le foto devono essere grati a tutti.

This site is totally home made, so the skill used to set it up was, specially at the beginning, absolutely amateurish. I have been bothering day and night friends and professionals, such as Alessio from the Meteonetwork site, many people from the Mobotix customer’s services
pages, the ARUBA ISProviders, E-groupNet web designer from Genoa, Andrea from Meteo-System which import and install Mobotix in Italy. They all provided fundamental help and informations and visitors enjoying Genoa snapshots should be thankful to all them.
